Hello. My name is Angie Messer and I have been teaching for 12 years. I earned my Bachelor's Degree at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and have completed some Graduate Work at VanderCook School of Music in Chicago, Illinois. I began my teaching career with Knox County Schools at Whittle Springs Middle School teaching the spring semester in January 1997. I acted as the Assistant Director of Bands at Bearden High School from the fall of 1997 until Summer of 2001. I took on the role of Director of Bands at Carter High School in June of 2001. I remained at Carter High School until May of 2008. I applied for a transfer to Carter Middle School in the spring of 2008 due to my growing family at home. I began the fall semester of 2008 as the band director at Carter Middle School.
